Stable Projection Imaging;

Automobile HUD can project driving information such as speed, fuel consumption, navigation, and ADAS onto the front windshield of a car, and can overlay virtual prompts on top of real vision, and then enhance the driver's perception of the actual driving environment so that the driver can get the high resolution, low distortion and clear vehicle information image without lowering his head while keeping the line of sight unchanged, avoid distracted driving, effectively improve driving safety.

For Hud, the most important thing is the clarity of the image. Sunny can accurately simulate the core parts changes under different extreme temperature conditions, and optimize from the design side to ensure the stability of the projection resolution in the range of -40~105℃.

How Automobile HUD Works

The HUD is essentially an optical device that works in much the same way as a projector, projecting the information it needs to display onto a transparent medium in front of the driver.

HUD consists of two parts: PGU (image generating unit) and optical display system.

The PGU is the core component of the HUD. It generates the HUD output image (speed, distance, weather, indication, etc.) , which is then transmitted to the car windshield by the optical display system, and finally be seen by the human eye.
